Adults’ Mediation Class
August 2019
Adults, Parents, Teachers
For adults 20 years and older
Many of us find ourselves in various conflict situations desiring to resolve them well. And then it hits you: you don’t really know how to do that! Or you realize you are too scared of conflict to do much except freeze. Mediation skills can be learnt and put into practice if taught simply and practically. Our classes seek to equip you with the EQ and negotiating skills necessary to mediate your way through whatever context you find yourself in. The workplace, community life, family dynamics, schools, the business world……all these places contain conflict and demand that you know how best to respond. Why us adults were not all taught this at school is a mystery (click here for our Kids’ classes page ?) but it is not too late to learn for the first time, or sharpen the skills you have no doubt already starting learning along the way.
Workshops are available, alternatively an 8 week course. This comprises of hour-long sessions, covering among other things, the following topics:
“Probably my biggest learning from the course was that Peace does not just happen…..it has to be built and cultivated! Caroline’s deep respect and understanding of people and how they relate is grounded in both legal mediation spaces and community based NGO’s. I have used the techniques in my work, neighborhood and home settings. I would recommend the course to anyone who would like to become better at building peace.”
"I am so grateful for Caroline's Peace Mediation course. It came at a time in my life where I really needed to gain a deep understanding of how to build peace intentionally in my life, my relationships, at the workplace and in my role as a Mom. Caroline is someone who carries such a calm, gentle strength - the way she communicates and explains various situations comes not only from years of expertise and experience but from a heart that is fully committed to walking a road of peace in every aspect of her own life. She is a great example of someone who walks the talk."
